Vaz Oliver is a retro-futuristic singer-songwriter with influences ranging from Tim Buckley to Sufjan Stevens, passing through Nina Simone or Sharon Van Etten. Accompanied by acoustic guitar or laborious layers of loops and atmospheres and textures, his personal voice always finds a way to reach the other side (that would be you). Originally from Madrid, Vaz Oliver has performed more than 350 concerts in Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, U.K., Canada, U.S.A. and China. He has published 9 works to date and also works regularly as a composer for theater, dance, contemporary circus and visual media. He also teaches courses and workshops on live looping and handling of pedals and effects
DRUNK AT YOUR WEDDING, benannt nach einem alten Bill Callahan-Song, ist das Projekt der Berliner Singer/Songwriterin Nina Töllner. Sie mag kratzbürstigen Indierock und traditionellen Folk und hat einen ausgeprägten Sinn für düstere Erzählungen und trockenen Humor. So schlagen die Songs von DaYW immer wieder überraschende Haken, pendeln zwischen laut und fragil und betten eingängige Melodien in ein Schattenspiel aus Moll. Das zweite DAYW-Album „I Have to Go Home“ (2021, Bohemian Strawberry) erntete freundliche Worte von u.a. Spiegel Online, Rolling Stone, VISIONS und Kaput Magazin. Der Nachfolger „Ghost Gear“, erschienen Ende 2023, schert sich wenig um klassische Songstrukturen, tritt häufiger aufs Verzerrerpedal und fischt in menschlichen Untiefen oder den poetischen Eigenheiten der englischen Sprache.
DRUNK AT YOUR WEDDING, named after an old Bill Callahan song, is the project of Berlin-based singer/songwriter Nina Töllner. She likes noisy indie rock and traditional folk, and has a soft spot for gloomy stories and dry humour. DaYW songs take unexpected turns, oscillate between fragile and loud, and combine catchy tunes with minor modes. The album „I Have to Go Home“ (2021, Bohemian Strawberry) got a warm reception from German magazines/websites such as Spiegel Online, Rolling Stone, VISIONS and Kaput Magazin. The third DaYW album „Ghost Gear“, released in late 2023, bothers little with conventional song structure. Instead, it steps more frequently on the overdrive pedal while pondering the darker side of human nature or the eccentricities of the English language.

Wer aufmerksam durch Berlin stolpert, hat es mitbekommen, die Stadt ist ein Magnet für junge, verrückte, talentierte und interessante Musiker. Mit etwas Glück sieht man auf der Warschauer Brücke oder in einem Kneipenhinterzimmer an einem Abend mehr Talent als das ganze Jahr im Fernsehen.
Wir wollen diesen Musikern eine Bühne geben.

It’s Berlin nowadays: The City has become a magnet to musicians from all over the world or from just around the corner. Creatvity and talent is on the street playing for small change, on the stages of open mics or maybe in the bar in your street.
