Entertainment for the Braindead hat sich, dem sperrigen Namen zum Trotz, den leisen Tönen verschrieben. Hinter dem Projekt steht die Multiinstrumentalistin Julia Kotowski, die auf der Bühne mal mittels Loopsampler Gitarrenspuren und Gesangsmelodien zu behutsamen Arrangements schichtet, mal mit dem Banjo die Eroberung des Weltalls besingt.
Entertainment for the Braindead is the solo project of Berlin based singer and multi-instrumentalist Julia Kotowski. Primarily an ambassador of quietude, she weaves layered guitar loops and delicate vocal arrangements into introverted folk songs – or recounts the history of space exploration on her banjo.

Dreamy and nostalgic would be the first words that come to mind when describing Marieke Krämers songs. With classical acoustic guitar and voice, Marieke leads you through a world of its own. Weaving soundscapes with unexpected melodies, a place of introspection opens up, filled with the air of remembrances and dreams. A voice, vulnerable and true sings you songs about loosing friends, loving a darkened heart, and the phenomenon of disintergating into a new dawn. Like a lost voice from the past, the sound reminds one of Sybille Baier, Vashti Bunyan or Josephine Foster.

Jeden Donnerstag ein Konzert mit einem Singer/Songwriter oder einer kleinen Band.
Wer aufmerksam durch Berlin stolpert hat es mitbekommen, die Stadt ist ein Magnet für junge, verrückte, talentierte und interessante Musiker. Mit etwas Glück sieht man auf der Warschauer Brücke oder in einem Kneipenhinterzimmer an einem Abend mehr Talent als das ganze Jahr im Fernsehen.
Wir wollen diesen Musikern eine Bühne geben.
