Indebted to the great songwriter tradition before them and eager to stake a claim on their place in the canon, Sam & Trevor make music that is equally familiar as it is fresh. A highly curated sound with a reverence for the past and an emphasis on colourful composition, the songs harness the unique ability to sound classic without being cliche. Together they sing to the heavens whilst standing firm-footed in the soil, regaling finely crafted lyrical narratives over simple yet sophisticated arrangements. It’s hard to say what era Sam & Trevor were supposed to be in, perhaps sometime between 1959 and 1974, but we can be thankful they are around today for our listening pleasure.

Casafungo & Ellangton – a beautiful musical collaboration between Christopher Langkau and Ella Burkhardt, two hopeless romantics who initially bonded over their mutual love for Bob Dylan have found their own way to turn stories into song. With vastly different musical upbringings, Casafungo‘s sound takes you on a psychedelic indie carpet ride, while Ellangton yearns and revels in her quiet intensity. Together they‘ll be performing from each other‘s songbooks, letting listeners in on their secret tales of broken hearts and silver linings.

Jeden Donnerstag ein Konzert mit einem Singer/Songwriter oder einer kleinen Band.
Wer aufmerksam durch Berlin stolpert, hat es mitbekommen, die Stadt ist ein Magnet für junge, verrückte, talentierte und interessante Musiker. Mit etwas Glück sieht man auf der Warschauer Brücke oder in einem Kneipenhinterzimmer an einem Abend mehr Talent als das ganze Jahr im Fernsehen.
Wir wollen diesen Musikern eine Bühne geben.

It’s Berlin nowadays: The City has become a magnet to musicians from all over the world or from just around the corner. Creatvity and talent is on the street playing for small change, on the stages of open mics or maybe in the bar in your street.
