Accompanied by acoustic guitar or laborious layers of loops and atmospheres and textures\, his personal voice always finds a way to reach the other side (that would be you). Originally from Madrid\, Vaz Oliver has performed more than 350 concerts in Spain\, Portugal\, France\, Belgium\, U.K.\, Canada\, U.S.A. and China. He has published 9 works to date and also works regularly as a composer for theater\, dance\, contemporary circus and visual media. Sie mag kratzbürstigen Indierock und traditionellen Folk und hat einen ausgeprägten Sinn für düstere Erzählungen und trockenen Humor. So schlagen die Songs von DaYW immer wieder überraschende Haken\, pendeln zwischen laut und fragil und betten eingängige Melodien in ein Schattenspiel aus Moll. Das zweite DAYW-Album „I Have to Go Home“ (2021\, Bohemian Strawberry) erntete freundliche Worte von u.a. Spiegel Online\, Rolling Stone\, VISIONS und Kaput Magazin. Der Nachfolger „Ghost Gear“\, erschienen Ende 2023\, schert sich wenig um klassische Songstrukturen\, tritt häufiger aufs Verzerrerpedal und fischt in menschlichen Untiefen oder den poetischen Eigenheiten der englischen Sprache. \nDRUNK AT YOUR WEDDING\, named after an old Bill Callahan song\, is the project of Berlin-based singer/songwriter Nina Töllner.
